But how are Malaysians supposed to change the world through education when the Malaysian education system favors systematic injustices based on a child’s background to determine their quality of education?It is observed that In Malaysia, one in five pupils do not finish high school.50% of 15-year-olds in Malaysia can’t read at their grade level. There are at least 50K children's who are stripped off their rights to the good education they deserve due to their poverty backgrounds therefore, we would like to give them a chance at a better future by collecting donations for them as our team realises that education is the most important aspect for children's to find their potential in order to make our world a better place in the future. We're paving the way for these Children's to have a better tommorow and you can do so too by donating or even sharing our page to your family and friends. In collaboration with Teach For Malaysia, the funds collected will be given to them. We appreciate your kindness and thank you for putting a smile on these children's faces. We believe that every children deserve a chance at education.

Malaysian Students' Technology Week (MSTW) is an annual flagship event held by Young Malaysian Engineers (YME). This year, the theme of our conference is Sustainability, and we believe one of the best ways to achieve Sustainability is by improving equity in education! Therefore, we would like to give back to underprivileged students in Malaysia by supporting Teach For Malaysia through our Fundraiser: Roots of Sustainability. Our campaign will run from the 15th of July until the 21st of August, 2022. In the spirit of TFM's 10th anniversary, our goal is to raise RM3000 — For every RM50 raised, 2 students will be positively impacted for a month. We are also excited to reach out to influencers who support our purpose as well as students who want to give back to other students, and host events to further boost our fundraising campaign!

The GBG Challenge is a fundraising effort that has been a part of life@GBG for over 16 years. The objective is simple – participants come together to take on a physically demanding challenge in order to raise money for their country’s selected charity for the financial year. This year, the APAC team will be given one week to collectively cover a distance of 6,000km, using any form of non-motorized transportation to clock the distance. At GBG Malaysia, we are hoping to raise RM 15,000 for Teach for Malaysia. Teach For Malaysia is mobilising a movement of leaders to empower our nation through education. We are an independent, not-for-profit organisation on a mission to give all children in Malaysia the opportunity to realise their potential through quality education.

If you are on this site, we are assuming that you have access to some sort of device. You're lucky. 360,000 Malaysian students are unable to learn from home because they cannot afford e-learning devices such as laptops. Ever since Malaysia's Movement Control Order, millions of students were forced to learn from home, necessitating the use of devices. As a fortunate group of teenagers, we trust that these students have potential. We believe they deserve an education and we believe the predicament they are in should not stop them from getting one, and we want to HELP THEM. Can you really go to sleep tonight knowing that thousands of students are unable to receive proper education because of their current circumstances, and the fact that said circumstance can be changed with your helping hand? More information on the education kit is available below.Some of us here have children, and are able to send them to school. Some of us are able to even send our children personally to school. That ladies and gentlemen is a privilege not many realize. Some children are within families and communities of the less privileged. This typically means poor families, or uneducated parents. This also usually leads to under-educated children as the family and parents are not only unable to send and fetch their children to school personally, some are not even able to send the children to learn at school. That’s where we come in. As a way to give back to the people, we are spearheading a project to help some of these underprivileged children to get to school and stay in school. Like a trident, we aim for this project to have 3 pronged effect on the issue. We would like to have (1) an immediate effect (output) towards enabling these target children to get and stay in school, (2) a flow of funds for Teach for Malaysia to sustain-ably continue doing this for more less privileged communities, and (3) raise awareness of the importance of education towards families within underprivileged communities. We also would like to have the awareness impact to affect more of the general public so more might take the initiative and continue helping those in need. Additional funds are provided to Teach For Malaysia directly for continuous sustainable endeavors to help more children in need to get proper education. As part of the relatively small cohort of Malaysian people who are studying/have studied overseas, I was given access to a more than adequate education growing up. I have the privilege of knowing that by the end of this degree my options will be numerous and that I will have more freedom than most to chart the course of my life. However, all of this mostly boils down to luck and socio-economic status. The reality is that 1 in 5 Malaysian students don't complete secondary school and 44% of Malaysians don't even fit minimum proficiency levels in reading. This significantly reduces employment prospects and severely limits household incomes, which then cycles the same problem to future generations.Everyone deserves the chance to have choices in life that upward social mobility can provide. And it all starts with a good education. <3
