I grow up with my 4 legs furry brother since I was born. After learning that there are many dogs being abandoned everyday and have become homeless, I am eager to help these lovely puppies who deserve love as much as we do. HKDR is a no kill organization and focus on rescuing and re-homing as many dogs as possible. It would be my best birthday present if you could join me to make a difference with a small donation.

We adopted our wonderful dog Austin from Hong Kong Dog Rescue a month ago. He is a very easy and loyal dog who adores Daddy and the kids. As first-time paw-rents, we truly appreciate everything HKDR has done not only for Austin, but also for the other dogs who have been abandoned on the streets, rescued from cruel lives and irresponsible breeders. Austin’s impact on Clement is unbelievable. He walks him every day, tucks him to sleep and picks up more poop than he ever did for the two kids 😂. Please give Clement a hug and praise him on his muscles next time when you see him, he is certainly getting fitter after all the routine runs and walks! I aim to raise HK$20,000 for Hong Kong Dog Rescue. Donors are entitled to a tax deduction in Hong Kong and will receive a tax-deductible receipt. For more information, please revisit https://hongkongdogrescue.com/ Love, Sandy

Isaac came to our family in December 2019 as a foster dog. He was abandoned at the door steps of HKDR complete with the cage that was his home. Since then he had been inseparable from our daughter Jasmine and auntie Leizel. Since then he had taught us what love, trust and tolerance truly means. He had given us so much more than we could ever imagine, with his gentle style that tells us, chill man, take it easy! Isaac has been epileptic for the past two years. Throughout these two years we have never learnt so much about epilepsy in dogs. For a while it has been controllable until on 10 April 2022, his condition took an unexpected turn. We wish to thank HKDR and in particular Sally Anderson for her unrelenting pursuit for the welfare of dogs in Hong Kong.

Hello Friends,As you may know, i have had the occasion to foster 2 little mongrel puppies last year; Sindy and Susie, of whom both have found loving forever homes. These have been fond memories of 2020 for myself (although at times very tiring) and I am sure, for those who had the chance to meet and socialize with the lovely furball of goofiness, and of which i couldn't have done it myself alone. So thank you for all those who have came out to help with the feed, play and clean times! Through this opportunity, I have gotten to understand the works of HKDR and many more shelters in HK. HKDR is a non-kill dog recue shelter, which have placed over 450 dogs in forever home last year alone. For those fur parents, I am sure you know having a pet with their food, medical expenses all can add up to quite a sizeable amount. Running on donations, HKDR covers all food and medical expenses such as check ups, deworming, desex and surgeries (if required) for the dogs staying in their shelters in both Tai Po and Ap Lei Chau, as well as those staying in with the fosters. With COVID last year and now still continues, the fundraiser events have been cancelled and thus charity organizations are in dire need of our support and help. As such, i would like to ask all of you to play a part in doing sometime good for our community.Love xxSharon

My Christmas wish in 2017 was to have a dog, and my mom selected the most amazing boy, Mick, from Hong Kong Dog Rescue (HKDR). He is now an important part of our family. We do everything together! I wish other dogs in HKDR could have a chance to be re-homed to a loving family like ours. Therefore, my birthday wish this year is to help HKRD raise money, and raise awareness for pet adoption.  Thank you for granting my wish!

I was  adopted from HKDR in May this year, shortly after my predecessor the Big G crossed the bridge. My hooman was so sad but she knew she shouldn’t wait cos there are many unwanted senior out there. I was  chosen cos I was relatively small and I had one eye only. My hooman loves broken little ones so I sort of qualified (really can’t compete with Big G for that kind of unique & devastated look). When I went home, my hooman “discovered” I was way bigger and fatter than my brothers. Haha, I took advantage of my big bum and bullies my way into this family. Btw, I was placed in cage for 8+ years to produce puppies. My legs are now crooked cos i couldn’t stretch them in that little cage. I’m free and I’m so happy now. Please adopt. Don’t buy.

As many of you know, I help out at the Hong Kong Dog Rescue.  HKDR was set up by Sally Andersen in 2003. The organisation has cared for more than 7,500 dogs.  The dogs are often from breeders that are no longer any use to them, or they have been neglected or abused by their owners.  Sometimes they are simply not wanted anymore or can’t be looked after. HKDR is a No Kill Organisation and gives these dogs another chance in life. Please give whatever you can.  Many thanks.Julie

Please can you help me raise money for HKDR (Hong kong Dog rescue).HKDR was founded in 2003 for the specific purpose of saving dogs and puppies from the Hong Kong Government’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Animal Management Centres, where around 7,000 dogs and puppies are destroyed every year. A lot them of were family pets that had been abandoned on the street or in country parks, while others have been directly surrendered. Only a small percentage of these dogs and puppies are lucky enough to be rescued by HKDR.I am trying to raise money by receiving sponsorship for losing weight and completing the HK Spartan Race on the 10th of November. I am currently 198 pounds, so could be sponsored per pound lost by November the 10th or Completing Spartan or just a one off Contribution. Thank you for helping me raise money for HKDR.
