Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital
We are diploma students from DEE1S1G1 Tunku Abdul Rahman University Management and Technology (TAR UMT). We have chosen Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital as our beneficiary in this project. Mount Miriam is a Cancer Hospital and it is located at 23, Jalan Bulan, Tanjung Tokong, 11200, Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The reason why Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital was chosen by our team is because we discovered that the cancer patients couldn’t afford the costly medical expenses as the treatment fees were quite expensive, so we think we have the responsibility to provide them with some financial support through this fundraising event. This fundraising event will start on 15 December 2022. As of now, Mount Miriam is now more focused on raising funds for cancer patients who could not afford their cancer treatment. We wish to raise at least RM1,000 at the end of this fundraising event. We hope that we can help hospitals upgrade medical equipment, provide patients with better treatment courses, and minimise the impact of cancer. We will contribute all of the funds to those cancer patients who are facing financial difficulties during their treatment. Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital is a not for profit NGO that provides financial assistance to underprivileged cancer patients. All applicants are required to go through the assessment to see if they are eligible. The treatment subsidy amount is subject to the results of assessment. Our main goal of this fundraising event is to help Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital and support them with a certain amount of funds. Hi everyone~Our fundraising event, which was held from 14 February to 27 March has finally come to a successful conclusion today!🤩🥳During this period, we managed to raise RM1100 for Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital. Without your help and support, our fundraising event would not have run as smoothly as it did. We really appreciate it!!!Through this fundraising event, we aimed to create awareness of cancer so that people can become more aware of it and prevent it as much as possible. We are organising this fundraising event for Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital. We have decided to fundraise for Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital to fund their cause in subsidising underprivileged cancer patients' treatment fees. Moreover, we hope to raise the public’s awareness of cancer through this event. Mount Miriam is a Cancer Care Hospital and it is located at 23, Jalan Bulan, Tanjung Tokong, 11200, Tanjung Bungah, Penang. The reason why Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital was chosen by our team is because we discovered that the cancer patients are usually ignored by the public, so we think we have the responsibility to provide them some financial support through this fundraising event. This fundraising event will start from 14th February to 25th March. As of now, Mount Miriam are now more focusing on raising funds for cancer patients who could not afford their cancer treatment. As a not-for-profit hospital, they set up Tabung Kebajikan Penyakit Kanser Mount Miriam to help cancer patients who have difficulties in meeting the cost of healthcare treatments.We wish to raise at least RM1,000 at the end of this fundraising event. We will contribute all of the collections to those cancer patients who are facing financial difficulties during their treatment.

We are students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College Penang currently pursuing Diploma in Quantity Surveying Year 2. We are conducting an online fundraising event for Mount Miriam Cancer Hospital in Penang. The purpose of collecting these funds is due to the realization that these trying times of Covid-19 have left many cancer patients struggling financially and unable to afford proper treatment. Thus, all funds collected and raised would be donated to the cancer hospital in order to aid those in dire need of treatment.
