All Women's Action Society (AWAM)

About us:

The All Women’s Action Society (AWAM) is a feminist NGO established in 1985. At AWAM, we focus on supporting survivors of gender-based violence (GBV), which includes rape, domestic violence and sexual harassment.

We provide free counselling services and legal information to anyone in crisis, irrespective of gender. We also do public education and outreach to mobilise a coalition of people who are aware of the prevalence of GBV in our society, and are eager and equipped to address the problem.

AWAM also works directly with government agencies and ministries to advocate for policy change.

At AWAM, we understand that positive change needs to happen in both society and legislation for sustainable holistic impact. And with your support, we strive to continue making progress in both spheres.

The Significance of Your Contribution

Your contribution can help us save a woman from being beaten by her husband, a girl from being seduced by a lecher, or a young man from being touched without consent. It will help us teach students in high school how to take care of themselves, especially when it comes to relationships and consent.

Your donation allows us to share strong social media campaigns advocating for change. It will enable us to teach junior office workers how to protect themselves from sexual harassment and on the flip side, teach upper management about best practices (in other words, please treat your employees right!).

Your contribution empowers us to provide better training for our staff and counsellors, so that they can offer the most effective support to the survivors that come to us. What’s more, your help will allow us to reach, protect, educate and empower marginalised communities.

All in all, your contribution will allow us all the opportunity to make this world a safe place for everyone.
