For International Human Rights Day on 10th December, Justice Centre Hong Kong invites you and your peers to participate in our inaugural “DEcaf – No Coffee Challenge”.
Donate just $40/day (the cost of a cup of coffee, and the amount a refugee in Hong Kong has to live on per day) to help our work keeping refugee families together in safety.
The true cost of coffee is unfortunately often far beyond the monetary price paid. Child labour and people being driven from their land are just a few of the issues facing those in the industry, some of whom now refugee clients of Justice Centre.
Recently we have seen some of these refugee families separated and children told they will be sent on alone to different countries. We are asking for your help to raise at least HK$50,000 to allow us to continue our work to keep families together.
Justice Centre’s mission is to help every family find a safe home and drive change for a fair and just society, and we believe it is important for Hongkongers to join us on this mission.
We appeal to you and your peers at work to challenge each other by giving up drinking coffee from 8th to 10th December and donate $40/day (or more!) to support our work.
