Ibu Dedeh, aged 26, and her husband Nurohkhim aged 28, run a Bakmi Jawa (Jawanese noodles) and Ayam Bakar (grilled chicken) food stall in Jakarta. They have a young toddler child.
This hardworking couple have been running their food stall business for almost 10 years (started by the husband)! The stall is rented and over the years they have been providing employment to 6 staff as well. They have developed a steady business, and have now applied for a small loan to expand the capacity of their food stall.
Ibu Dedeh and Nurohkhim are demonstrating a remarkable determination to work hard for their living at such a young age, to build a better life for their child and families. Their entrepreneurship is also benefiting their communities by creating jobs, however small to begin with. This husband and wife team is exemplary of youth entrepreneurship and we hope that you will support them!
