This hospital provides specialist treatments for cancer patients including tomotherapy, radiosurgery and chemotherapy in an affordable cost.Cancer treatments are extremely expensive 💰 and many patients are struggle to afford the costs forcing them to discontinue therapy owing to financial constraints. In addition, cancer patients in tremendous pain and their condition is fast deteriorating due to the lack of timely treatment. Hi everyone !! We are the group of students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT) Penang Branch Campus, pursuing Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Year 3 Semester 2). We are organizing a virtual fundraising event with intense enthusiasm to generate funds for the "Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals" (SPCA) Penang, all in support of our fervent commitment to the well-being of animals. SPCA Penang is an animal welfare organization that serves as a temporary shelter for sick, injured, and unwanted animals, offering interim care to healthy, abandoned and unwanted animals until they find a home. It also plays role in educating the public on responsible pet ownership. Insufficient education and awareness among people regarding animal welfare pose a serious concern, leading to mistreatment, harm, and cruelty towards animals. To address this issue, our group of students has established the team "Paw For A Cause". Our vision is to ensure the well-being of stray, sick, and injured animals, fostering a high quality of life for them and ultimately securing permanent and loving homes. Through our fundraising event on the "Simply Giving" platform, we aim to raise a minimum of RM500 to directly support SPCA Penang in their mission to provide temporary shelter, food, and medical care for animals in need. We are students of Diploma in Building from Tunku Abdul Rahman University Management and Technology, we'll be organizing a fundraising campaign for SPCA Penang. The globe has been rocked by the Covid19 pandemic's sudden advent, which has also shaken the world's governments and economies. Numerous challenges have been faced by both nations and people, such as unemployment and financial difficulties. As a result, overall donations to charity organisations have decreased. The present epidemic has significantly affected the day-to-day necessities needed to run NGOs due to the halt of donations.We, the students of DBL Group, would like to provide our support and donations to all five organisations fighting the pandemic with the help of TARUMT and the generosity of the people. We believe SPCA and its goals to better the lives of the underprivileged, and we think that those underprivileged people ought tohave the chance to strive for a better future. Consequently, "CutePaws" Through "Simply Giving," a non-profit platform that sends money directly to nonprofit organisations, we will accept donations. Did you know ? There are 43 million people who are severely blind and 295 million people who are moderate-to-severe visual impairment on this world. A lot of people in this world don’t have ability to experience the wonders of this world. That’s where the angels of St Nicholas Home come in. St Nicholas’ Home is a non-profit and non-governmental charitable organization that aims to respond to the evolving needs of the blind and visually impaired (BVI) community in Malaysia, irrespective of their religion, race and background.(snh.org.my, 2023) It is located at 4, Jalan Bagan Jermal, 10250 Georgetown, Pulau Pinang. With more than 10000 volunteers in their team, they have been providing multiple services and training for the BVI since 1926, such as education, rehabilitation, low vision care, social work and more. St Nicholas’s Home has been consistently impacting the society for the better. Some notable events include : Partnered with Penang Adventist Hospital to offer free cataract surgeries to the needy patients. Hosted events such as “World Sight Day” to raise awareness on eye care and prevent avertable blindness. Celebrates “White Cane Day” every October since the year 1986 to raise awareness about equal rights for the blind and visually impaired. Raised RM40,000 through the “L’Occitane Race for Vision” to raise awareness regarding avertable blindness, and to fund free cataract surgeries project. More than 7,000 runners participated in the run. St Nicholas’ Home is a worthy and respectable organization that has a noble goal of helping the blind and visually impaired, and even helping society to prevent preventable blindness before it’s too late. St Nicholas’ Home deserves our full support and utmost respect for caring about the BVI and society. However, due to St Nicholas’ Home being a non-profit and non-governmental charitable organization, they receive no profit and can only operate using their own funding or through donations. Aloha! We are a group of students from Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TARUMT), pursuing Diploma in “Accounting”, and brimming with enthusiasm in animal welfare. We will be conducting an online fundraising campaign in support of “Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals” (SPCA) in Penang. SPCA is a non-profit animal welfare organization that seeks to help sick, injured, and abandoned animals by offering them temporary refuge. SPCA also contributes to public education on pet ownership responsibilities. The lack of education and awareness of humans towards animal welfare is a concerning issue that involves the mistreatment, harm, or cruelty inflictedupon animals. Public awareness campaigns and educational programs can help people understand the importance of animal welfare and the impact of theirirrational actions. This can promote empathy and compassion towards animals and foster a sense of responsibility for their well-being. Hence, we as a group of students decided to execute our visionin the name of “Animal Care League” with the vision to create a compassionate society where every stray animalsreceive love, a suitable permanent home and a chance to experience a quality life. In order to realize our noble mission, we will raise funds through ‘Simply Giving’ platform, that transfers contributions directly to SPCA. This platform serves as a conduit, ensuring that the benevolence of our generous donors flows directly and efficiently to SPCA Penang, leaving no room for intermediaries or delays. Our primary goal is to raise a minimum of RM2,000 in this fundraising campaign, with the ultimate intention of contributing the donation to SPCA Penang, thus aiding and supporting the well-being of animals under their care. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful impact in providing shelter, food, and medical attention for these vulnerable creatures.Lastly, our fundraising campaign period will be conducted within 7 weeks, starting from 7/8/2023, and ending on 24/9/2023.
