The lack of legal recognition of refugee in Malaysia has resulted into the limited access for basic necessities, such as healthcare and education. Education is an integral part of an individual to enable social mobility and self-autonomy. The lack of legal status has made it impossible for refugees to be enrolled in public schools and therefore they rely on alternatives such as learning centers, community schools, and NGOs. However this can be quite challenging due to the lack of funds. The accumulated money here will go to ensuring that refugee children are provided with adequate level of education through programs, workshops, and real life classroom learning experiences. Please donate!

Children who are forcibly displaced face a number of health risks in addition to the direct threat of violence brought on by conflict. These risks include the possibility of disease outbreaks, long-term psychological trauma, poor access to water and sanitation, wholesome food, medical attention, and regular vaccination schedules. Even small amount of money will help them to enhance their quality of life. Let’s make a better world for you and for me, and the entire human race.

This money will be used to help the refugee centre to purchase materials and laptops for the children to ensure that they are able to receive the best education as well as make use of all the available resources well. We at AIESEC would appreciate if any amount of money is donated to help these little kids. Hello! I'm Lorraine Billiam and I'm a student at Taylor's University, Malaysia. I'm now a part of Light A Refugee's Dream project by AIESEC, where we help teach refugee children English, Math and Bahasa Malay. Most of us know that education is the key to life and a major way to eradicate poverty. Therefore, I'm aiming to raise an amount of 400 Malaysian Ringgits that will go towards funding the education and food for these children. Let's all kindly work to be able to make a difference in their already difficult life. If we have been blessed and privileged enough to receive good quality education and lifestyle, we can give them a small fraction of that as every child deserves it. Thank you and God bless you for your donation!

Hi! my name is Nureen and I am a freshman at Taylor's University. I'm participating in the Light A Refugee's Dream conducted by AIESEC where we improve the level of children education in refugee kids so that they have the means of learning and communication. The reason why I chose this project is because I have always been interested in kids for my career which is psychology. I believe that through this project I will have an idea of how to work with children and see if it is something I'm passionate about and something that I can continue doing in my life for a very long time. The reason this donation drive is created is because the refugee kids live in a shelter where they do not make money to take care of these kids. in today's world we also know that everything is digital. Therefore, the kids need laptops and Ipads/ tablets to be able to learn hard and soft skills. That is the reason for this donation drive, I will be trying to gather minimum RM 400 so that they can be able to afford these gadgets and also some other necessities that might be needed. I would greatly appreciate the donation, and know that 100% of these donation goes to the kids so that we can improve their well-being and grow up to be great individuals in society. Again they are just kids, so what we can do is create a memorable and comfortable childhood for them.
