Let's create an impact through compassion! Come together with me to support the fundraising initiative for children of refugees in Malaysia.

My Story

Hello everyone! I'm Jia Yao, currently a sophomore at Taylor's University, and I'm excited to dedicate my semester break to making a positive impact! I am volunteering as an organizing committee member for the Light A Refugee's Dream (LARD) program, organized by AIESEC in Malaysia. I am working alongside a group of dedicated individuals who are committed to making a difference. The mission of LARD is to enhance the education levels of refugees, empowering them with knowledge and unlocking their potential for equal opportunities.

Over the next four weeks, we will be collaborating with the Living Water Learning Center, a facility devoted to educating refugee children in Sunway Mentari. All proceeds from our fundraising efforts will be directly contributed to the center to support the sustainable provision of quality education. Our aim is to advocate that education is not a privilege but a fundamental right for every child. Through this initiative, we hope to convey the message that every child deserves the chance to learn and thrive, regardless of their circumstances.

My fundraising target is to raise RM400, which will be used to purchase essential materials and daily necessities for the refugee children. Your generous contribution to our LARD fundraising campaign will play a crucial role in helping these resilient children flourish. Let's work together to create a world where every child's right to education is valued and protected. Donate now and become the beacon of hope in the lives of these young hearts!
