Malaysian Child Resource Institute (MCRI)

Malaysian Child Resource Institute (MCRI) promotes the healthy development of children by raising awareness on the Rights of the Child and advocating for better standards in the provision of early childhood care and education.  We envisage a world where all children are nurtured and educated so they can attain their full potential.

Incorporated in 1993 as a non-governmental and non-profit organization, MCRI is an organization with 22 years of experience and has proven itself to be an organization that has the ability to develop a civil society from a child rights perspective. We dedicate ourselves and support the UN Convention on the Rights of Child (CRC) in all aspects of our work.

MCRI has contributed to the developments of child rights through numerous initiatives including workshops, training and awareness raising events.

Our current projects:
·       Kids’ Kitchen (hosts Menu Planning and Nutrition Class and Christmas Bake Sale)
·       Let’s READ Children’s Community Library (hosts a range of programmes such as Read-aloud Sessions, Speech and Drama Class, English Reading and Writing Workshop and Kids’ Philosophy Class)
·       Young People as Researchers Programme
·       Personal Safety Programmes and Child Protection Policy
·       Montessori training

Please support and help us offer more quality educational programmes and services for all children, including special needs, children from shelter homes and refugee children.
