At MCRI, we provide quality education programmes
for the healthy development of all children, including special needs children
and children from shelter homes, in support to United Nation Convention on the
Rights of the Child (UN CRC). We also dedicate ourselves to raising the
awareness of UN CRC among the public. Our merchandises for fundraising, such as
Gingerbread Men and Women for Children’s Rights, carry UN CRC articles with
them.
In
addition, we believe that all children, including those from underprivileged
communities, should have the rights to education in terms of not only the
academic perspective but also in practical skills, arts and creativity, moral values
and self-esteem. Having said that, we will be organising a diversity of
programmes in which children can adopt and cultivate these skills into their
lives, such as
·
Menu Planning and Nutrition Class
·
Speech and Drama Class
·
English Reading and Writing Workshop
·
Kids’ Philosophy Class
·
Young People as Researchers Programme
·
Read-aloud Programme
·
Personal Safety Programme
In
these programmes, we hope to fulfil children’s right to health through teaching
them nutrition, right to protection from harm and right to voice out their
concerns and thoughts. These programmes help boost their self-esteem and
promote the free expression of children’s imagination and creativity, enabling
confident and articulate expression using English language.
Hence, please support our
programmes in promoting children’s healthy development. By donating, you can
help us to reach out to the disadvantaged communities, such as urban poor and
refugee children with quality educational programmes. We appreciate the
contribution in making our wish for the children come true.
