My Story
Covid-19 has had a significant impact on the services and operations of Mother’s Choice.
Calls to our emergency hotline have increased by 80%. And right now, in the lockdown, vulnerable children and young girls are even more vulnerable to domestic abuse and family upheaval.
Mother’s Choice is HOME to hundreds of vulnerable babies, children and young girls throughout the year and right now they need our help more than ever. Mothers Choice is as committed as ever to protecting vulnerable children, by:
- Working closely with the Hospital Authority to provide resources for the surge of young girls seeking help with a crisis pregnancy
- Sourcing and providing protective gear for hundreds of immune-suppressed children
- Supporting struggling foster families with limited resources who are not able to support schooling
- Being one of the few residential homes still admitting in children.
Students from senior schools across Hong Kong have joined together to help. 6th formers involved in our YLC from schools across HK are working closely with us right now to do what they can: and together - with help from HKRFU, HKFC and ESF sports coaches, we have devised #MC80! - a grass roots social media fund-raising campaign. We are so grateful for your support. Thank you.
