My Story

Every day approximately 8 million pieces of plastic pollution find their way into our oceans. There may now be around 5.25 trillion macro and microplastic pieces floating in the open ocean. Weighing up to 269,000 tonnes. Plastics consistently make up 60 to 90% of all marine debris studied.
> Plastic straw stucked in the turtle nostril
> Full of plastic debris found in a dead seabird body
> Hundreds of plastic bags found in sperm whales which died on the beach
>  A plastic cotton swab wrapped by the tail of a seahorse
> Plastic band restricting the growth of grunt fish
> and many more...

We knew everything is happening and this is only a small part of the waste problem. What can we do about it?

You can donate to Zero Waste Malaysia ("ZWM"), who is a non-profit organisation that promote zero waste lifestyle through educational campaign.

WHY should I donate to ZWM?
Your donation will be used to fund the activities/projects of ZWM in 2020 which I summarised three most recommended as follows:-

1) Speakers Engagement. ZWM has its own speakers team sharing zero waste lifestyle to the target audience, i.e. corporates, schools and NGO. In next year ZWM will deliver at least 10 free talks to local schools and NGOs (West and East Malaysia).
2) FREE zero waste handbooks. First zero waste event handbook has already published in Jun2019 providing public the guidelines on organizing low waste event!

The second handbook about zero waste office will be published in early 2020!
3) Zero Waste Educational Lesson Plan. We always say education should start from young! Here is it. ZWM upcoming project is to curate an educational lesson plan / design thinking material to be used at educational institutions from primary school to secondary level!
