Malaysian Red Crescent Society

Malaysian Red Crescent Society was established as a Branch of the British Red Cross in 1948, and today is the oldest serving CSO in the country. It is recognised by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and also is an affiliate member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent. Societies (IFRC). We function as a support organisation - an auxiliary to the Malaysian Government in the humanitarian field. MRCS is present in 16 states in the country, with more than 200,000 members. It is taking a leading role in many humanitarian segment, and more recently during COVID-19 crisis response.
