Malabar Muslim Jama-ath

The Malabar Muslim Jama-ath was formed in Singapore in 1927 by a group of immigrants from Kerala, India, to look after the affairs of the Malabari (Indian Muslim) community, and it was officially registered on 19 April 1937 with the Registry of Societies. The Malabar Muslim Jama-ath (MMJ) is an organisation that seeks to uplift and empower the community through continuous learning and development, increasing camaraderie and spreading the essence of Islamic living in multi-cultural and multi-religious Singapore. The MMJ has strategic plans in the areas of Education (religious and secular); welfare, youth, sports and volunteerism; technology and social media; and membership recruitment and retention.
