保護國際基金會成立於1987年，是一個國際性的非牟利環保組織，宗旨是保護地球上自然遺產和全球的生物多樣性，證明人類社會和自然是可以和諧相處的。我們通過科學技術、政策影響和社區參與等多種方法保護熱點地區的生物多樣性。在南美洲、非洲、亞洲及太平洋地區等四大洲的30多個國家設立了項目。在全球生物多樣性保護的需求最迫切的地區工作，包括生物多樣性熱點地區，關鍵的海洋生態系統區，以及生物多樣性豐富的荒野地區地等。
