My Story

Mind is such a abstract thing - difficult to understand as we cannot “open” it to fix or hold it in our physical hands to heal it. During the pandemic lockdown, I have been blessed for working in a great company where I have the luxury of working from home; while many others needed to work in person to support the family living due to the line of business they work in. On one fine evening in mid-Sept 2020 while I was doing my virtual calls, I witnessed a man jumped off the building across the road from mine and ended his life before my eyes on the podium…. I was in shock for 2 days where I kept asking “what can I do more”. I was so grateful to have access to assistant program where I was able to talk to some counselor on my experience. Hence, I have been focused on pinging people randomly to check in and say hello… but what can I do more? During my catch-up dinner with a friend, she shared with me about this event and I believe this is my calling to participate and be able to do a little more and to help raise awareness about those who maybe suffering silently around us.
