Indonesia is the 2nd largest supplier of waste to oceans. The amount of produced garbage in Jakarta every day is the same of 7 football fields. Every. Single. Day! Where is all this garbage going? Yes. You probably got it right!
Indonesia is facing a huge Waste Management Crisis. Bali, the paradise Island of the Gods, produces a mountain of trash as high as a 14 storey building. PER DAY! Can you see how the future is going to be like if we don’t act as fast as we can? And we don’t even need to go too far on time. Indonesia’s waste is already covering the north of Australia.
Role Foundation presents its “Zero Waste To Oceans Education and Demonstration Center”. Through Waterman’s Week Bali 2016 our goal is to raise awareness about ocean pollution and raise funds to build this center in Nusa Dua, Bali.
The ‘Zero Waste to Oceans’ program is Role Foundation’s pledge to help preserve Bali’s natural beauty for generations to come. We promote a ‘Complete Circle’ approach to waste management, in which every last piece of trash is recycled and absolutely nothing goes to waste.
Through Waterman’s Week Bali 2016, from the 1st to the 10th of July, Role Foundation and Partners will spread the word and raise US$ 50,000. To build the ‘Zero Waste to Oceans Center’.
