This
December, join us in celebrating the 70th anniversary of the
Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Even now, 70 years after the birth of the declaration, for too many the basic universal human rights it enshrined remain beyond reach. There is a long way left to go. Join us, and help to make up ground.
On 2 December 2018, we at Justice Centre Hong Kong are running for justice, at the Angkor Wat Half-Marathon. At Justice Centre Hong Kong we provide vital support and assistance for forced migrants - so that they can find sanctuary, and can enjoy their fundamental rights.
We are running for our clients. We are running because
we believe that each and every one of
us is entitled to dignity and respect, and no less than their basic human
rights: freedom from persecution;
freedom from torture; freedom from trafficking and forced labour, and the right
to life.
Run with us
to show your support, or by making a donation. No amount is too small (or too
large!). Every dollar counts.
Take a look
at what your donation can cover:
HKD 40: Provides
travel allowance so that a client can come to our Centre to meet with our legal
and/or psychosocial team
HKD 180: A meeting room for a one-hour group therapy session
HKD 500: Two hours of interpretation for a survivor of torture/persecution so that they may access one on one legal or psychosocial assistance.
About
Justice Centre Hong Kong:
Justice Centre Hong Kong is a non-profit human rights organization working fearlessly to protect the rights of Hong Kong’s most vulnerable forced migrants: people seeking for protection who are survivors of torture and persecution, human trafficking and forced labour.
We seek to achieve this mission through support of access to justice using tools such as individual legal aid, psychosocial support, advocacy and policy research.
