About Event

While the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected all sectors of society, Persons with Disability are more so affected due to already pre-existing challenges and barriers, such as accessibility to services and socio-economic constraints.

The theme of this year’s International Day of Persons with Disability, annually observed every 3rd of December, is “Building Back Better: Towards Disability-inclusive, Accessible, and Sustainable post COVID-19 World”.

In line with this theme, Project Inclusion Network (PIN) presents “At the Heart of InclUSion is Us” an awareness and fundraising campaign that aims to improve access to opportunities for Persons with Disability in the new normal of education, employment, and community engagement.

PIN has always believed that disability inclusion involves all of us. Everyone has a role to play in building a society where Persons with Disability can realize their full potential.

How can each of us contribute to building a more inclusive society?

Break barriers. Inclusion starts with I. Start with yourself. Be informed, and make sure that as individuals, we do not create or contribute to barriers in the inclusion of Persons with Disability.

Spread awareness. Share PIN’s social media posts. Talk to your social circles about how they can help realize the potential of Persons with Disability. Be an advocate for disability inclusion.

Invest in Persons with Disability.  Help ensure that Persons with Disability access their rights, and participate in our society by investing in education and employment opportunities for Persons with Disability through a donation to support PIN’s programs. PIN facilitates Educational Assistance for Students with Disability in college, and Skills Development Scholarships for Persons with Disability looking for training programs which will help them build the necessary skills for employment.
