Sugar Away, Justice Hurray! 💪🏾⚖️ 

Refugees and asylum seekers often experience food stress in their destination country. In Hong Kong, refugees and asylum seekers survive on a monthly food budget of HKD1,200. 

Parents often put their children to bed early as they cannot afford three meals a day for their family. 

Let’s join the “Spark Hope with Sugar” challenge to spread love to these vulnerable individuals in Hong Kong who are not allowed to work and struggle daily on a limited budget.



Why should you care about justice?

We take pride of our city’s core values - Fairness, Justice, Freedom

Refugees (victims of Sexual & Gender Based Violence (SGBV), war, torture and human trafficking) are deprived of fair treatment and basic rights in Hong Kong

How can we uphold the core values collectively?

Donate to help the front-line warriors of justice to create a fair and just society in Hong Kong.

You can spark hope in three steps:
  1. Think about high-calorie snacks/drinks you would give up for a week/month/year and donate the money to support them on SimplyGiving.
  2. Post a picture of the food you gave up with the amount of money you donated to support the refugees and asylum seekers. 
  3. Share the post on Facebook/Instagram with hashtags: #sparkhopewithsugar #justicecentre #standforHKrefugees and challenge three friends to do the same by tagging them along!
