My Story

Good day everyone! I am Evelyn, a first year law student from Taylor's University. I have decided to make a positive impact in our local community by volunteering as a fundraiser for Allies for Children campaign together with AIESEC Taylor's University. I am aiming to raise funds of RM1000 and humbly asking you to join on this change!

I am grateful that I do not have any experience on child abuse but the recent arising cases of child abuse had brought to my attention on how severe this issue is. As a future lawyer, I am always eager to contribute and help those in need using my own profession. I believe the children would have the power to be whole again through our small contribution. Let's combat this trauma together because small changes can lead to a huge difference!

God didn't create us to play small, we live with great purpose.
Hence, let's light up the darkness together!

What's going on?
Adversity at times of pandemic hasn't been well for everyone, among the issues that should highlighted should be our mental health. According to The Straits Times, the police recorded 468 suicides in the first five months of 2021, compared to 631 in 2020, and 609 in 2019. The three main causes cited were family problems, emotional pressure and finances. According to WHO, one in 5 women and 1 in 13 men report having been sexually abused as a child aged 0-17 years. That is why we are here to make a difference!

To make this fundraising interesting, we decided to contribute our skill for a greater cause. So, whenever you donate for someone in need, we'll get something for you too!

My Challenge
I'll be doing a tiktok dance video if my target is reached!

Goal of Fundraising
To provide psychosocial support for B40 Children and Families who doesn't have the access on their own.

How will the Funds be Utilise
Every RM100 = 2 healing therapy sessions for children
