My Story
Darren's Story
- Darren was diagnosed with global developmental delay before his second birthday.
- He joined the CDC at the age of two and received support through individual speech therapy, occupational therapy & physiotherapy.
- He was with the CDC for three years, before moving to Family Partner School.
- He is now 11 years old and is studying in Korean International Springboard Primary School.

About CDC
The CDC is a non-profit organisation that provides support to the widest spectrum of Special Educational Needs (SEN) issues in English and Chinese in Hong Kong. The CDC strives to follow evidence-based practice in early year’s education. Staff members adopt an interdisciplinary approach to facilitate children’s development taking into account the children’s individual education, individual needs and the importance of parents in a child’s learning.

- $3,600 enables a child in need to receive intensive individual therapy (4 sessions)
- $5,800 allows a toddler to receive early intervention support in a group setting with weekly one-to-one therapy
