My Story

Hi! Im an overweight person and I aspire to run during the fundraising period as a FundRanger at Small Changes Malaysia. 

I am dedicating this cause to fundraise for Small Changers Malaysia's empowerment projects, namely Seeds of Deeds, Aspire to Inspire: Refugee Edition and Project Beanstalk, which ultimately serve the beneficiaries.

For this cause, I narrow down this initiative to support Project Aspire to Inspire : Refugee Edition.

The target group of Project Aspire to Inspire will be the refugee community in Malaysia. The goal of this project is to empower the refugee children and youths through education, the project for refugees will be a pilot project conducted for one month. In Project Aspire to Inspire: Refugee Edition, Small Changes will be collaborating with Save School to conduct weekly programs with Somali children in Malaysia to further enhance these youths’ harmony, capability, and independence in the society.

The refugee children in Malaysia have been denied access to the formal education system, and thus they obtain education via an informal parallel system of 128 community-based learning centers. The team intends to motivate and help the refugee children to be equipped with skills to make a future for themselves. I believe the planned modules and activities will help the children work on their strengths and explore their hidden potential.

Hence, all the raised funds from this run will continue benefiting the targeted underprivileged refugee children in Save School.
