My Story
Every kid deserves the chance to have hopes and dreams, and to achieve their full potential. There are students out there with hope to break out of the poverty cycle. There are those who wish to explore the world and there are those who are struggling to find the motivation to continue their education.
I am completely aware that I would never be able to fully experience the other facets of their life, and to constantly feel frustrated by the apparent inequity of it all. I am fortunate to be born to parents who raised me in a middle-class household, and sent me to tuition, debate and chess lessons, and in an atmosphere where I could excel academically. Some students do not have access to all of these amenities. I have always been reading and writing about the problems, but there is always so much more to do than one can put onto the page. Words of flattery are nice and can be empowering, but they fall by the wayside unless reinforced by action.
As such, I fundraise and create a donation drive to provide for the students and the wildlife, aiming to inoculate the students from feeling hopeless through Project Anak Malaysia.
