Hi, first of all my name is Ann and i am a mother of 4 beautiful children. My children were the main reason I started out a kindergarten because I wanted to be close to them while having a fulltime job and also at the same time offer them the education standards that I always aspired. Before opening my own, I was already working in a private school educating young minds holistically and throughout those years, I had a strong urge to incorporate national modules within the holistic method, which many big schools struggles to offer. 

 
My family sold off a property in 2018 and I manage to start out my little kindergarten in 2019. We started with only 2 students and soon grew to 12 students that year. There were many challenges, but I was high in spirit and I believed that those challenges will clear a path for my kindergarten to do better in the future. I took up a franchise because market was very tight and I believe that something different would be needed in order to sustain. 

This year, we started off ok with 22 students and slowly grew to 27. I was glad and finally relief to see some hard work being paid off. But alas, the first wave of covid-19 hit us all like a tsunami out of nowhere. We were in lockdown for 3 months, and at that time, the kindergarten suffered. Any money that came in was put in reserve for teachers salary, rent and franchise fees. When it ended, I was very happy to have survived it. Another few months longer, I would’ve lost the kindergarten.

But little did we know, covid cases started to surge and sure enough the 3rd wave was here. We were again ordered to close- but this time, until next year. 

I’d like to keep my spirits high and I am still fighting to ensure that the kindergarten survives as we are all very dedicated educators and I would be devastated to see all the hard work lost.  Moreover, I cannot imagine thinking that the children will lose their learning space which they have grown to love over the year. I have appealed to the parents, and some have helped, but many are in the same shoes – income lost, pay-cuts, retrenchment.

The money received from any donation will be used to clear off pending rental (3 months pending) and also to pay off some of the franchise fees. I appeal to anyone who understands my situation and believe that my grounds are worth saving, your donation or even just prayers would help a lot. Thank you in advance and May God Bless you.
