I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March 2021. However, I felt lucky as it was just early stage 2, and I thank the tumor for alerting me to start taking care of and loving myself. The first night, I couldn’t sleep well, but afterward, I slept well every night and woke up early for jogging, Zumba, workouts, and singing. I was very busy finding many solutions, such as natural remedies, a healthy diet, learning Sudarshan Kriya, Tai Chi Qigong, Yan Shi Dien, climbing more than 500 steps of a staircase, and drinking ginger drink made with 1 kg of ginger daily.As I neared the end of my radiotherapy treatments, I interviewed over 10 cancer survivors who have lived for more than 10 years. They all shared the same advice: the best remedy against cancer is to live happilyNow, over two years later, with treatment behind me, I've embraced a new chapter—a life of joy. With each day, I nourish my body, explore new horizons, and savor the wonder of existence.Yes, worries linger, but I've learned that the best defense against uncertainty is a life well-lived. And my goal? To traverse this beautiful world, soaking in its splendor with every step, every beat of my heart. 第一次参与Go Bald是2015年，也是我第一次更了解有关癌症儿童。仔细想想，天真无邪的孩子在还没理解生老病死就被疾病缠身。一些因为治疗而落发的孩子，被其他人投以异样眼光，这是我最心疼的。对我来说每一个人都应该是特别的，那个特别也不应该被歧视。我选择再次参与Go Bald就是想要让大家更关注这件事情，也想让孩子们知道每一个人都应该是独特的，不要害怕别人的眼光，更不要对别人投以异样的眼光。当大家都在专注疫情的时候，请不要忘了这群小战士。上次我通过和医生的访问，得知其实癌症患者比一般人还要危险，属于高风险群。所以我希望可以尽我的一份小小力量帮助这些小战士。感谢大家的慷慨解囊！In 2015, it was my first time joining the Go Bald event and it gave me the opportunity to know more about child cancer. Imagine an innocent kid who has yet to grasp the concept of illnesses and deaths but has been diagnosed with cancer. The most heart-wrenching part is where kids who lost their hair due to the cancer treatment had to be given a peculiar look by people around them. In my opinion, everyone is special and no one should be discriminated against for that. The reason I choose to join Go Bald again is to raise more awareness on this matter as well as to let every child know that they are special in their own way, don’t be scared of other people’s peculiar looks and at the same time, to never give those looks to other people too.When everyone is focusing on the virus outbreak, let’s not forget these young warriors. In my previous interviews with doctors, cancer patients have higher risks of contracting the virus compared to others. And so, I wish to contribute a small part to these young warriors. Going bald to support these children was the best decision I have ever made as I was inspired by those who willingly sacrificed their hair for the sake of every children in Sarawak who is fighting for cancer. I want to help creating an impact in these children's lives as they deserve a chance to have a fulfilling life. Being bald doesn't make you unattractive because it brings out the inner beauty inside of you. It's the least I can do for them, to show them that real beauty comes from within, and to embolden them so that they would always be strong no matter what.

For a very long time, hair is indeed a glorious crown to any female. Unfortunately, it's a sad story for children who suffer cancer. I hope to share, even just a little, their disparity over the ''lost crown''. I've decided to partake the #GoBaldAtHome to show my love and support for these children. I decided to shave my head to share my moral support to every kids that are fighting with cancer in Sarawak. So i would do anything to help those kids to have a better day of their life by raising the awareness of SCCS’ effort. People may think that when you get bald you’re not attractive anymore but hey, you’re are stronger than you look and you are a fighter. That is what make you are more attractive. This little effort that i did by shaving my head not just to ease the appearance of the kids but to encourage them to stay strong and keep fighting.

Ever since my first participation last year, I have been looking forward to the upcoming GoBald campaign; where shaving hair is a symbolic gesture to raise awareness and support towards children who have lost their hair through their chemotherapy. The reason why i decide to help Sarawak Children's Cancer Society to hit the target of raising RM10,000 for this campaign is to help cover a month's expenses of the SCCS Kuching halfway home there is currently home to 11 cancer fighters from outstation, as the main treatment center for Sarawak is here in Kuching. Shaving hair is a symbolic gesture to raise the awareness and to show support to children who have lost their hair through treatment. Although there is no difference in me with my head shaved or with hair but there is a difference with the children who suffering cancer. With all your donation I believe your little small donation will make a huge difference for those who is less fortunate than us. Please support me by donating.
