We are students from MAHSA University in Bandar Saujana Putra, taking the MPU3443 Community Service course. Due to the uncontrollable pandemic of Covid-19, many people have had strict protocols imposed upon them such as social distancing and prevention of large gatherings. This has led places like Zoo Negara to have diminishing returns as there are a reduced number of visitors. This in turn causes the funding for the animal’s food as well as habitat maintenance, healthcare and other such amenities to drop significantly. We are organizing a virtual fundraising event in order to aid Zoo Negara Malaysia to raise funds to help sustain the animals in Zoo Negara during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our target is to reach RM500 and all funds raised throughout this period will be donated to Zoo Negara Malaysia. We appreciate your time and thank you in advance for lending us and Zoo Negara Malaysia a helping hand in these trying times. Don’t forget that animals need our care too!

Zoorasic Team consist of students from Taylor's University, Lakeside Campus and currently working on the Business Ethics and Values module. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, our team will be raising funds through the Malaysian Zoological Society which is a non-governmental organisation (NGO). Zoo Negara Malaysia was officially opened on 14 November 1963 and has developed into a renowned zoo globally. Additionally, there are various specimens from numerous species ranging from amphibians, birds, fish, mammals and reptiles.Ever since the spread of Covid-19, there are plenty of uncertainties as to when the national zoo can operate as usual and be accessible to visitors due to social distancing concerns in lieu of the risk of virus transmission. Ultimately, this results in the fall of ticket sales and the necessary funding required to sustain the animals in Zoo Negara in terms of the necessities required by the animals for survival and habitat maintenance. Hence, our team is organising this virtual fundraising event to show our support towards Zoo Negara Malaysia in ensuring adequate food supplies are available for the animals throughout the Covid-19 pandemic. Our team’s target for this fundraising event would be RM300 and 100% of the funds collected in this event will be donated to Zoo Negara.Your donation is deeply appreciated and thank you for playing a part in contributing to help  Zoo Negara Malaysia through our event!

Hi, my name is Natasha, I'm studying in year 6, and I'm 10 years old. I am an animal lover and I'll do anything to make sure that all animals stay healthy and live in a good environment. I chose to raise money for Zoo Negara because there hasn't been enough visitors to Zoo Negara due to Covid. The funds are much needed to feed the animals. One of my favourite hobbies is to play football therefore I have decided to raise the money by challenging myself with completing some football drills weekly. Not only is it challenging, but it also helps improve my football skills. I am hoping to raise RM3000.Thank you for supporting my fundraising campaign for the animals, by donating to Zoo Negara!

Hi! I am Kamilia, 20 and I am a student who is also an animal lover. A few days back, I came across several articles and news on the critical situation that is happening in our one and only National Zoo because of the pandemic! As soon as I got to know that Zoo Negara is running out of funds to cover for the animals' daily food supplies and medication. I immediately feel like I need to take action and try my best on what I can do to help. By imagining the situation of those innocent creatures, I just couldn't let the situation go as easy as that. All I can say is "The Animals Need Us! We are their Only Hope." Even the slightest amount can make a huge change.

Long story short, we took a wrong turn and ended up wandering around lovely Cyberjaya, later scurrying to find a place to buka puasa. Finally, I managed to buka on time at Lok Yoon Restaurant in Cyberjaya which had an unexpectedly pretty good Set B. Overall, the adventure made for a great day!Thank you to everybody who supported my fundraiser! Your donations will go a long way in helping all the zoo animals.Happy Ramadan!

We're the Fur Eternity, a group of students from Brickfields Asia College (BAC) who are taking the course MPU3412, Community Service. As this course suggests that we are to do a community service project. Thus, we have chosen to virtually help our fur friends, animals from our very own National Zoo. We also realize at a time like this our helping hands might alleviate any financial difficulties that is faced by Zoo Negara, undoubtedly that during the 3 month MCO it must have left a great impact to our beloved Zoo Negara this puts the wellbeing of our beloved fur friends at the iffy side, so we really hope together we will be able to help our fur friends! Truly, it is not the amount that counts but your kind gestures towards them.Gandhi once said ' the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated,' . So if our animals at the zoo are malnourished and live in dilapidated cages, doesn't that reflect 'the greatness of our nation'? Give it a thought. So, what are you waiting for let's donate to our fur friends NOW!

We are students from INTI International College Subang, taking the course MPU3443 Community Service. As the covid-19 pandemic is ravaging throughout the world like wildfire, a large number of people will not be allowed to gather and visit places freely due to the concerns of social distancing. Thus causing Zoo Negara to face declining ticket sales which translates to them losing the ability to maintain the animal’s habitat and feeding the animals. We are organizing a virtual fundraising event to help Zoo Negara Malaysia raise funds, help sustain the animals in Zoo Negara and to ensure all the animals have enough food supply during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our target is to reach RM1,000 and all funds raised throughout this period will be donated to Zoo Negara. We appreciate and thank you for lending us and Zoo Negara a helping hand!
