Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC)

On Saturday 24 March, ten of our Ambition staff will be unleashing their inner beast in a race to raise money to support the Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) in 2018. This is our way of contributing to the broader society as we look to help Build Better Futures for those less fortunate than ourselves. Our brave warriors will be participating in the world's most challenging obstacle race - The Spartan Race. They will be running, climbing, pushing, pulling, throwing and crawling through walls, hills, trees, mud, barbed wire and more! BUT we need your support to cheer them on. Every donation, no matter how big or small will encourage our guys to push through all those challenging obstacle courses! Thank you in advance for your generous donations.

Dig deep people and throw some dollars at this (even a small amount) to help raise funds for the Singapore Disability Sports Council. I'll be sweating it out, in the hills of Batam (hills?! argh!!) and would love for it to be really worthwhile, rather than just a certain pain in the proverbial!

I will be competing in the 2015 Barclays Wheels for Change 100km ride across Batam on 12th Sep to raise donations for the Singapore Disability Sports Council (sdsc.org.sg). The Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) is the national sports body for the disabled in Singapore. It is a voluntary organisation registered with the Commissioner of Charities. It is the only organisation in Singapore which reaches across all disability groups, offering a wide range of sports at both elite and non-elite levels. It is, in fact, Singapore’s national disability sports organisation. Please help me out with a contribution for this great cause.

Never ridden close to 100km before. Why not sponsor in a way to motivate me to complete it.....like $20 for 50km, $50 for 75km (furthest I have ever ridden) or $100 for 100km. A buck a kilometre for charity - why not!!?? If that's a bit rich, you pick whatever you feel comfortable with or pool in with someone else. Donations for the walking stick required at the finish line will also be welcome!!

After completing the wheels for change 2014 and seeing the commitment and courage of the participants I am happy to be able to participate in the event again in 2015. Having witnessed the good work of the SDSC first hand my contributions are again going to this worthwhile cause. SDSC firmly believes in the rehabilitative and therapeutic value of sports. Its programmes and activities underscore its guiding principle that “Disability Must Never Disqualify”. Thus, SDSC aspires:to provide the disabled with opportunities to train, participate and excel in sports for local, regional and international competitions;to enhance the lifestyles of the disabled and integrate them into the community through recreational sports and activities; andto increase public awareness of and promote widespread support for the sporting and recreational needs of the disabled community in Singapore. Please help me in raising the awareness and supporting this great event and cause.

I will be joining a challenge, on12 of September, cycling a distance of 100 km in an effort to raise money for Singapore Disability Sports Council (SDSC) - Singapore’s national disability sports body offering a wide range of sports at both elite and non-elite levels.   I started on the bike only from June 2015, when I bought a bike for my triathlon race. Quickly I found myself addicted to cycling and I decided to challenge my in Wheels for Change.   The reason I choose Singapore Disability Sports Council  is that sports is a short cut to quality life and those disabled should have more support towards quality life as well. The goal of SDSC goal is to use sports to promote the well-being of the disabled in Singapore, helping them to live full and independent lives.I had been committed to training during the past months. I did things I’d never thought of before like getting up at 5am fro a ride, "trail-and-fall" practicing clip-in shoes and sweating 70 km alone under the heat. After a recent fall injuring my back, the only activity I did while recovering was, cycling.     I am not even close to a good cyclist but because of the sheer enthusiasm and a strong will to help those disabled, I believe I will get to the finishing line with 100 km mark crossed!     Please kindly generously support the cause by donating, all attention and contributions will be carefully appreciated.
