For many years now, I have been working for IFES. IFES' vision is to see students thriving together as communities of disciples, transformed by the gospel and impacting the university, the church, and society for the glory of Christ. To do this, we need resources. It is through the faithful support of believers all over the world that this Christian student movement consisting of 10 countries is now in more than 160 countries. According to IFES Associate General Secretary, Annette Arulrajah, 'Global Giving Day is a unique opportunity where we can unleash a generosity of spirit and a generosity of resources to strengthen and uphold one another.' Stand with us and help us take the gospel out to every student in every campus across the world. Please give.

My whole life changed when in campus ~ through the IFES movement in my university: PPK USM. There the God of my childhood, met me with my questions; anchored me in His ability; wrestled with me and allowed me to live a real faith!! PPK was an instrument in this defining moment. Ever since graduation, I have invested my life in doing this for other students, hoping that through my availability our LORD will transform many more others. It has been 36 years now of being in this ministry ~ and the stories only get more amazing. Will you stand with me and IFES to go places where God is leading us to. You can pray, you can cheer us on and you can share your 2 fish and 5 loaves. It is never about how much or how little. It is about STANDING TOGETHER and cheering on!! IFES was founded in 1947 when leaders from ten evangelical student movements across the globe came together to form a global movement. Their ambitious dream was to see a clear witness to Jesus Christ established in every university in the world. IFES students, staff, and supporters have been striving to see a vibrant student-led witness to Christ in every university. But even today, there are still countries, regions and campuses where no student witness yet exist, where students have never heard about the good news of Jesus Christ. Students and staffs throughout our fellowship are working to reaching those places with the gospel.Global Giving Day 2024 aims to provide and ensure that students and staffs throughout our fellowship have the resources they need to share the gospel and establish Christian witness in their campuses. I've been with IFES for 5 years now. It is exciting and humbling to see the amount of work going on to take the gospel out to students in every campus around the world. Even so, there are many countries, territories, subregions, and campuses where no student witness yet exists, where Christian students feel isolated, and non-Christians students have never heard of Jesus. We want to change this, and to do this, we need resources. Students and staff all over the world are working towards this and events like IFES' Global Giving Day is our invitation to all of you to partner with us in getting the gospel of Jesus out to students. Annette Arulrajah, IFES Associate General Secretary says '"Koinonia" - or fellowship as it means - expresses itself in participative sharing and a deep communion with one another's experiences, needs of various kinds, and a solidarity of spirit with another. It is a reflection of who God is and His heartbeat, to tend to and be present to us. How can we forge this kind of "koinonia" amongst us in IFES? How will we speak without words, in expressing that we are standing together with other movements, or with the global fellowship at large?" IFES started over 75 years ago with 10 national movements, and today it is a fellowship of 164 national movement across the globe. As large as that may sound, there are still countries and campuses where no student witness yet exists, where students have never heard about Jesus.The call that Jesus made to us in Mark 16:15 to "go into the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation" has impressed upon my heart. Now more than ever, there is a need for strong, clear witness of the good news of Christ available to every student in every campus around the world. This 17th April 2024, I have the opportunity to participate in IFES's Global Giving Day where believers all around the world can show their expression of love and gratitude towards God for His bountiful blessings by making gifts to support our work in taking the gospel out "into all the world". Connecting students with Christ and with each other is what IFES has been doing for more than 75 years, but there are countries, territories, regions, and campuses where no student witness yet exists, where Christian students feel isolated, and many students have never heard about Jesus. Pioneering ministry is a challenging task for students and staff. The IFES East Asia team supports pioneering workers in some very difficult contexts. Regional Secretary Lisman Komaladi shares: “Pray for a spirit of not giving up. You don’t just take two, but sometimes four steps backward for every one forward. There can be economic challenges, opposition, other worldviews, and the authorities. Pioneers need resilience, tenacity, an attitude of ‘This didn’t work, try that…’. They need to keep trusting God, believing that he has a plan. Pray that they would not lose hope.” Students and staff throughout our fellowship are working to reach those places with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
