My name is Peter Yoong and I am an avid cyclist. I am currently planning a 2-year (Dec 2017 - Nov 2019) solo cycling tour around the world. As part of this trip,
I will be raising funds for World Vision Malaysia and would like to seek your kind consideration in partnering with me by making a donation. All tour expenses will be self-funded so all donations will be directed to World Vision Malaysia.
Hailing from Kuala Lumpur, I am a husband and proud father of three who has been passionate about cycling all my life. Now that my sons have grown up, I want to realise my dream of completing a cycling trip around the world. A short write-up on my cycling experience can be found in the article in the gallery below.
I will be travelling by bicycle through many countries, starting and ending in Malaysia; passing through Asia, Europe and North America. I will be stopping at key destinations along the way to give presentations about my trip and World Vision Malaysia.
All donations will be chanelled to World Vision Malaysia's Education Fund.
Your donation will help provide basic education opportunities to children, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, gender and physical disabilities; equipping them socially, economically and emotionally to face life’s challenges ahead.
To sponsor, individuals or corporate groups
can commit to donate a fixed amount per kilometre cycled (e.g. 1km = RM1/
1USD). If you commit for the whole 2 years, your corporate branding will be
added to my bicycle gear and featured in my presentations. Additionally, if there is a sports team in
your company, they are welcomed to join me on a short section of my trip, with
a donation for each day they cycle with me. More details on how you can
