Micro Appeal

A year since the earthquakes in Nepal and the media spotlight may have moved on but the rebuilding still continues. Let's show the Nepalese people that we have not forgotten them!

My Story

While walking on Crosby beach this morning I met a really friendly chap who works in the Da Gurkha restaurant on South Road. He told me he is working to send money home to his family in Nepal so they can repair the family home. Thankfully, no one was killed in his village but 300 houses were damaged. I've been to Nepal and I can understand just how difficult it will be to get supplies into the mountains, where there is virtually no infrastructure and the weather can be extreme. I believe that communities like ours can help each other at a local level, so whether you've been to Nepal or just Da Gurkha why not give us a fiver (the price of a portion of hot steaming momos or the tip at the end of your meal) and show them we've not forgotten.

I've given the price of a meal at Da Gurkha. (PS: Five quid is 50 HKD! The international chaitry is based overseas).
