VATANIKA is supporting women in need in Cox’s Bazaar to improve the standard of living and is fundraising for UN Women

My Story

I don’t know whether by chance or by faith that I happen to surround myself around women. About 90% of the people whom I work with are women of different backgrounds. This has given me the opportunity to hear their stories and has allowed me to genuinely understand them.
Now, the first project that I’ll be working closely with UN Women is to support the work of Multi-Purpose Women Centers for women refugees in Cox’s Bazaar. As I learned more about them, I see a group of strong women that if only they have more knowledge and education, they will be able to protect themselves, to make a living, to look after their children and family. And most importantly, to live again.

Your support will help to:
1.     Establish more Multipurpose Women Centers as safe spaces for women, where women get psycho-social support, education and life-saving information
2.     Build additional women-only toilets and bathing facilities which offer greater sanitation and security
3.     Support skills training to provide women with income-generating opportunities
4.     Advance gender equality

โครงการแรกที่ทางเราจะทำร่วมกับ UN Women เป็นโครงการที่จะช่วยสร้างศูนย์อเนกประสงค์ สำหรับผู้ลี้ภัยสตรีในคอกส์บาซาร์ ประเทศบังคลาเทศ เมื่อทางเราได้รู้เรื่องราวเกี่ยวกับผู้หญิงเหล่านี้มากขึ้น ทางเราก็ได้เห็นความแข็งแกร่งของพวกเธอ หากเพียงผู้หญิงเหล่านี้ได้มีโอกาสศึกษา มีความรู้มากขึ้น ก็จะสามารถปกป้องตนเอง พึ่งพาตนเอง ดูแลลูก ๆ และครอบครัวได้ และที่สำคัญ พวกเธอจะได้กลับมาใช้ชีวิตได้อีกครั้ง

1.     สร้างศูนย์อเนกประสงค์สำหรับผู้หญิงเพื่อให้ความปลอดภัยและความช่วยเหลือในทุกๆ ด้าน

2.     สร้างห้องน้ำสำหรับผู้หญิงโดยเฉพาะเพื่อความปลอดภัยและสุขอนามัยที่ดีขึ้น

3.     ส่งเสริมเรื่องทักษะต่างๆ เพื่อให้มีโอกาสในการหารายได้

4.     สนับสนุนความเสมอภาคทางเพศ
