My Name is Megat Danial and I am from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

I am organizing this fundraising campaign, in conjunction to Mental Health Awareness Month for this month of May and Man of Steel 7 Years Anniversary on the month of June. 

Why am I doing this? 

I am part of the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement. #ReleaseTheSnyderCut is a diverse, global online movement of fans of DC Films and the visionary film director Zack Snyder. During the late stages of post-production on the film “Justice League,” Snyder left the project following the tragic death of his daughter Autumn to suicide. After the theatrical release hit cinemas, the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut fan community sprung up in its wake, advocating for the realization of Zack Snyder’s original edit, known as the “Snyder Cut." also known now as Zack Snyder's Justice League. 

The SnyderCut community has created a series of fundraising campaigns and awareness initiatives includes t-shirt sales which have since helped to raise over $100,000 for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. As a Malaysian I feel like I owe it to my community. Befrienders is a non-profit organisation providing emotional support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to people who are lonely, in distress, in despair, and having suicidal thoughts - without charge. 

The objective of this event: 

1. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth due to Covid-19 and lockdown, more people are suffering and require emotional support. Raising funds for non-profit organisation will help ease their operations to support them. The campaign page is on simplygiving.com/symbolofhope target is RM500. The minimum amount to donate is rm10. If we can get 50 people to donate we can reach the goal. 

2. To all my friends from from Brazil, Spain, Qatar, Saudi, UK, India, Singapore and all over the world who are part of the movement. We have helped afsp which is an American non-profit organisation, its time for us to help our local community. You can join this fundraising event by donating to your local non-profit organisation that focuses on suicide prevention and mental health awareness. 3. No more watching movies at the cinema? #ManOfSteel7Years live watch party with Zack Snyder himself on Vero True Social app on 20th May 2020 11PM MYT. Download Vero App or go to the link https://vero.co/events/man-of-steel-watch-party  Ready your movie on Netflix or Google Play or Itunes as I recommend you to buy the film. Wait for the cue from Zack and sync the movie with him. Then you can enjoy the live commentary of the film with him. If the timing is not right you can watch anytime as the livestream commentary will be available for rewatch as soon as its done.
