My Story

Samut's Puppy Story

Samut means Ocean in Khmer. I got this name because I peed ocean in the house when I was young. I didn't this anymore but that name sticks with me!

I got separated or maybe stolen from my mom since I was 1 or 2 weeks old. They (dog seller) put me inside a small cage with other 7-10 puppies and sale us on the road near sticky river Toul Tom Pong. They thought I was a Khmer puppy that was big enough to sell. I was a Labrador and Golden retriever mixed puppy that was too young to be separated from my mom and other siblings.

My human passed by that road to work and saw me. He couldn't save all puppies, but he decided to pick me and take me home with him by paying $50, all money he has in his wallet after a long bargain from $100. I was so skinny, covered by ticks, and confused but I love foods.

I am 3.5 years old now! I love running, swimming, balls (anything round and bouncy), smiling, and free food. Both of my dads are trainers, so I grow up loving running and exercising.

why I am going to run 10k at Angkor wat on Dec 6?

I decided to run with my dads to show that dogs are the best companions that should be treated like your family members and friends. A lot of other dogs were not as lucky as me, and they ended up getting kidnapped, killed and eaten cruelty.

Do you know you can help dogs? By recusing, adopting, and supporting your local animal rescue centers.

I am going to run 10K to raise some small puppy funding for Animal Rescue Cambodia, and you can help me to achieve my doggy goal!

Love and Lick from Samut!
