Personal Challenge

May I invite you to support me to participate in my first ever charity challenge in Vietnam held by Save the Children Hong Kong, namely "Trek to Save the Children". My fundraising target is HK$25,000 (approximately US$3,225), which can support six ethnic minority children aged 3-5 and six parents/caregivers in selected districts in Vietnam, and many other children in need around the world. Thank you ever so much for your generosity! *Donations over HK$100 is tax-deductible.

My Story

Throughout Vietnam, there are increasing disparities across regions and population groups, particularly among children from rural and ethnic minority communities. Poor educational infrastructure, a lack of teaching aids and equipment, and poor teaching quality are amongst the reasons for the reduced learning outcome and low enrolment rate among ethnic minority children. As part of the Trek to Save the Children, the fund raised will be used to support six ethnic minority children aged 3-5 and six parents/caregivers in selected districts in Vietnam, and many other children in need around the world.

Your support will ensure these children receive the educational and parenting support they need to not only survive, but to thrive. You will improve these young children’s school readiness skills through an innovative Emergent Literacy and Maths Skills (ELM) approach.

With every step you take, you will give vulnerable and disadvantaged children in Vietnam, or other developing countries, what every child deserves--- the right to survival, protection and development.
