The goal is to raise funds for the improvement of the overall community in Pontianak Village, Flores, a small isolated fishing village. Projects include new school buildings, improved health care facilities, new community centre, improved sanitation and waste management and general infrastructure improvements. 
The timing of this appeal is due to my 50th birthday, and in lieu of gifts I am asking friends and family to support a community that I am going to be very involved with hopefully for many years to come.
