GOOD NEIGHBORS PHILIPPINES

WE ARE GOOD NEIGHBORS!

 Our Mission

Good Neighbors exists to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. Good Neighbors respects the human rights of our neighbors suffering from poverty, disasters, and oppression, and helps them to achieve self-reliance and enable them to rebuild hope.

About Good Neighbors

Good Neighbors is an international humanitarian development NGO founded in Korea in 1991 to make the world a place without hunger, where people live together in harmony. In 1996, Good Neighbors obtained a General Consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (UN ECOSOC). And in 2007, it was granted with a Millennium Development Goals (MDG) award from the United Nations for its achievements in universal primary education.

Now, Good Neighbors is one of the largest NGO aids in Korea and has been supported by different companies, and individuals around the world. Good Neighbors currently operates in more than 40 countries around the world and Good Neighbors International Philippines is one of them.

Good Neighbors International Philippines works for youth, children, and communities nationwide through social development, economic development, and sponsorship service. We started operations in San Isidro, Rodriguez, Rizal in 2009, as its pilot Community Development Project area.

To date, we have currently embarked on a new program, scholarship and youth development, that will hone marginalized Filipino youth with robust life goals, leadership, and social responsibility and become potential future leaders of our nation.

Addressing the gaps and challenges in development opportunities for young people is vital in unlocking their potentials and capacities. Through effective and sustained youth development programs and educational opportunities, these young people can make a good change for the nation.

“We would like to see the future where all the children and [youth] can achieve their dreams and vision without worrying about poverty. We hope there should be no more tears from the eyes of the children and parents due to despair. To achieve this, we invite you to become good neighbors to accomplish this dream with us.” - Jae Choon Lee, Country Director
