Hope Mission Welfare Society

The Gift of Education

16 years ago, Hope Mission Welfare Society was established to transform the lives of underprivileged children. Over the years, troubled children from different walks of life have benefitted from Hope Mission’s commitment towards its mission.

One of the tools that Hope Mission uses to achieve its mission is education. By emphasising education, Hope Mission slowly transforms the mindset and outlook of the children who were previously focused on survival rather than success.

Read the story of Choo Jinn Yenn to learn how education changed his life.

The Story of Choo Jinn Yenn

Choo Jinn Yenn was a high-spirited boy who didn’t fit in. He hopped around from different children’s homes for some time. Upon moving to Hope Mission at age 12, he settled into his new home and school environment with ease. After his secondary education, Hope Mission encouraged him to continue his tertiary education. Today, Choo Jinn Yenn holds a skills certificate in Bakery and Pastry; a far-cry from how Hope Mission first found him.

This is why Hope Mission Welfare Society started the “Gift of Education” campaign.

Through the “Gift of Education” campaign, Hope Mission Welfare Society hopes to send more underprivileged children to school, fully equipped to learn.

Hope Mission Welfare Society stands to protect and nurture underprivileged children.

As human beings, we are all interconnected. It is by our collective efforts that we are able to pave a wider road for underprivileged children to access education.

Your contribution means a lot to us. It enables us to purchase school essentials such as books, uniforms, sports equipment, stationery, and more.

It may be something simple, but it allows a child to attend school with a smile.

It gives them the “gift of education.”

We humbly appeal to you to put your kind and generous heart together to do something for these children who desperately need your support.

Contribute today and give the gift of education!
