My Story

Hello Everyone! My name is Nafisa, I am a Volunteer for the "Here For You" Project hosted by AIESEC Taylor's University. The main objective for this project is to:

- Promote health via raising awareness about cancer 
- To commit to United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and well-being
- To raise funds to support our partner, National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM)

These funds will be used by NCSM which is a NGO that relies on public donations. These funds will be used for Cancer Education and Quit Smoking School Programmes, Free Screening Programme e.g. mammogram & pap smear for the underprivileged and Workshops on pre and post treatment, self examination techniques and self-empowerment among others.

Cancer is one of the leading causes of death globally and research says that detecting your cancer before it progresses to its last stage can help individuals survive!

Therefore, I want to raise money for cancer awareness so that more people find out about its severity and start taking care of their health. Being more aware and educated can allow individuals to get themselves medically checked if they experience any symptoms which would promote early detection which would save their lives.
