Leading Light for the Blind

Leading Light for the Blind is participating in Heriot-Watt University Malaysia EmPOWER 2023
and are fundraising for Persatuan Bagi Orang Buta Malaysia (Malaysian Association for the Blind)

Our group is ready to create a spark in the life of people suffering from visual impairments. We would support them in every aspect by raising funds for them. We are making a difference by raising money for a cause close to our hearts. Please support us by donating.

My Story

The Malaysia Association for the Blind (MAB) first established in 1986 is an organization which helps the visual impairment of all age and race by providing them necessity, assistance, and opportunity to have an improved involvement and interactions in the society. Thus, MAB eliminate the prejudice from the outside world and promote belief in the proven capability of the blind. 

MAB always strive to raise public awareness regarding the abilities and potential of the visually impaired individual to improve their standard of living and integration among the society. To fulfil the drastic changes in the modern world at the 21st century, MAB are constantly working towards to expand and enhance their services, education, equipment, and facilities. 

On the 4th of January 2023, World Braille Day, the MAB held an activity at Dewan Ismail Salleh Malaysian Association for the Blind with the purpose of raising awareness to the public about the importance of braille for the blind, improving the involvement of the blind in socioeconomics and providing braille books to the visually impaired. 

In order to achieve the aim of the MAB, assistance, sponsors and donation are required from the public to give hope for the blind, leading them to the light.
