My Story

July 2019 is significant to me and my family as we commemorate the 20th year when we lost my mom to cancer. For 4 months, she went through an extremely difficult, and oftentimes painful, ordeal as she battled the big C. But unfortunately, she lost that battle. And I would like to honor her memory with this climb. 

I would also like to dedicate this climb to other family members and friends who had or are going through cancer - the survivors and those who remained strong and brave to fight their battle to the end. This climb won’t be easy for me but it is somehow symbolic of what they all went through. I want to conquer my fears. I want to triumph over the challenges. I want to overcome defeat.
