My Story

It's the season of giving again ! I have been in YMCA for many years , yet I always feel that my efforts alone are never adequate because there are so many people out there waiting for someone to touch their hearts and someone to care for them. There is never such a thing as "too much" care and " too much" love. This December, i will be participating in Y CAMP CHALLENGE , an outdoor adventure camp organized quarterly by YMCA ,designed to help build self-confidence and impart important life-skills to the intellectually and physically challenged. Along with 140 other volunteers, we will each be paired with a fellow camp participant with special needs. As camp buddies, we will face together, hand-in-hand, side-by-side, various adventure activities such as high ropes elements, water obstacles courses and a host of camp craft activities over the 4D3N camp. To defray some expenses of organizing the camp, i am trying my best to raise $200 for a special needs buddy and myself to attend the camp. While shopping for your family and friends, i hope you can take some time to think of people who are less fortunate than you are! What goes around comes around, I am sure the joy you bring to others will come back to you, amplified ! Please dig deep and donate, every little counts! loveeee, jiayin :D
