Jay Lurie is participating in HLLL Charity Borneo Bike Ride
and is fundraising for Singapore Children's Society

Hi Everyone - Another adventure awaits! This time, not only will I test my physical limits, but I will be part of a team that is raising money for a good cause.Please donate generously (even SGD25 will help!) as all donations will be matched by the event organizer Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee.

My Story

In aid of the Singapore Children's Society, I'll be undertaking a challenging ~100km mountain bike ride through the jungle of Borneo, along the foothills and valleys of Mount Kinabalu.  Leaving for Borneo on Thursday 24th September, our team hopes to complete the adventurous route through a combination of mountain biking and jungle trekking by Sunday 27th. The Singapore Children's Society protects and nurtures children and young people of all races and religions.  In 2014, the society reached out to over 68,000 children, youth and families in need via 10 service centers in Singapore thru the following:
  1. Caregiving (taking in abused and neglected children)
  2. Community (providing financial aid, casework and counseling)
  3. Developmental (through various camps and projects)
  4. Preventive (such as anti-bullying campaigns and prevention workshops)
  5. Public Education (including commissioning research studies in Singapore)
  6. Remedial (through various rehabilitative services to children and youths, with guidance and counseling for their families).
