On Saturday March 11th I will be attempting the Long Ducker for the first time. The Long Ducker is charitable event where I along with many others will attempt to complete a 15.5km trek, part of the Macklehose Trail. As well as a great way to see Hong Kong the Long Ducker also allows me to raise money for 6 Hong Kong charities.
My Story
My Dad and I recently walk up High Junk Peak so that taught me to look after old people while you are on a long walk. My Dad needed a few pits stops to catch his breath.
I just came back off my school camp where we walked up Sharp Peak at 4am in the morning. Camp taught me that I like to stay in bed until at least 7.
Finally I've been working hard on my orientation skills. For example at home I now know how to get from my bedroom to the kitchen with my eyes closed when I want a late night snack. The trick is practice, practice, practice.
So I think I am well prepared for the Long Ducker. I'll report back on how I do!
