First established in 1954 as Universal Children's Day, World Children’s Day is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, increase awareness of children worldwide, and improve children's welfare. This year, Global Community Impact Asia Pacific (GCI APAC) and Consumer Health Asia Pacific are continuing our collaboration with Save the Children in celebrating World Children’s Day. At Johnson’s®, we are committed to give every baby the healthiest start to life. At GCI APAC, women and children’s health remains a key focus area.    The ability to play is a right that all children should enjoy and is integral to any child’s development & wellbeing. Due to the ongoing pandemic and other circumstances like poverty and violence, many children are denied this crucial aspect in their lives. We aim to champion children’s rights to play and create new opportunities for them.   Did you know? In 2021, UNICEF estimated that due to COVID-19, around an additional 100 million children were living in multidimensional poverty – without access to essential needs like education, healthcare, housing, nutrition, sanitation or water. As a symbol of our support for these underprivileged children, between 20 Nov to 31 Dec, J&J will be holding a dollar to dollar matching of any amount donated by employees and all proceeds will go to Save the Children Philippines.
