My Story

The "Catalyst of Change" project represents a transformative collaboration between Heriot-Watt University Malaysia and Yayasan Chow Kit Organisation. Focused on community empowerment, education, and innovation, the project aims to address societal challenges, particularly benefiting at-risk populations. Through this partnership, valuable lessons about effective community engagement, sustainable development, and the integration of academic and grassroots expertise will be learned. The project aspires to serve as a beacon for positive change, showcasing the potential impact of such collaborations on fostering social resilience and advancing the well-being of marginalized communities.

Donations contribute to various essential needs, including supporting social workers in designing personalized developmental plans, covering documentation costs such as birth certificates and identification cards, offering financial assistance for emergencies or critical situations, facilitating access to education and vocational training, ensuring health and wellness support, providing shelter and foster care, running empowerment programs, and managing an emergency hotline for clients.
