The Gay Games are very close to my heart and I'm personally making a difference by raising money for this very important event which is held every 4 years, in support of the global LGBTQ+ Community.  This will be the 1st time that the Gay Games will be held in Asia and I am especially excited to help support our Hong Kong Host.  They have worked incredibly hard and have put together an amazing team of volunteers to host this important sports and cultural event. 

I am the Co-Officer of Sport for the Federation of Gay Games (FGG), the organization that licenses the Gay Games event.  I am also a member of the GGHK2022 Steering Committee, which is responsible for the oversight of the planning, production and delivery of the entire event which will include 36 sports & numerous cultural events and activities.  Our hope is to leave a lasting legacy and gain even more support in Asia for the LGBTQ+ community.

Anyone can participate in the Gay Games, you do not have to qualify, and you don't need to be on a team, play a sport or perform professionally as part of a band, dancegroup, choir or other.....our Host will be happy to place you on a team (if necessary) and this will give you the opportunity to meet so many new friends from all over the world during your stay in Hong Kong.  Many of these friends will become family! 
We welcome our allies as well! 

For many of these folks, this will be the 1st time where they can truly be themselves.  Many come from countries or environments where they cannot be open about their lives and are often living in dangerous/illegal situations.  They will be welcomed by the entire community with open arms.  This event truly does change lives.......I've seen this 1st hand.
