Over nine days, from May 6th through May 14th, Serve-a-thon will unite Hong Kong in service, through more than 150 volunteer activities taking place across the city.  Hong Kong’s first-ever ‘community service marathon' offers volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, schools, civic organizations and corporations to come together and give back to the community in a meaningful way.

Serve-a-thon volunteer activities serve a range of groups most in need of our support, from underprivileged children and the elderly, to refugees, migrant workers, animals in shelters and environmental conservation projects. 

Serve-a-thon is co-organized by HandsOn Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Council of Social Service as a public service to Hong Kong—participation is completely free for all NGO’s and individual volunteers. The initiative is made possible through the generous support of donors and corporate partners—all funds raised will go directly into the running of volunteer programs throughout the nine days of Serve-a-thon.

​More than 75 major cities around the world currently host some form of service marathon—2017 is the year to put Hong Kong on this map through Serve-a-thon, the largest-ever collective volunteerism-based event of its kind for our city!
