For over 30 years, Eurodrug Laboratories has been bringing medicine of the highest standards from European research, technology, and manufacturing to doctors and patients across 26 countries. As we continue to improve patients’ healthcare outcomes, we have also come to realise the need to reduce the suffering of underprivileged individuals in Malaysia.
The ‘One Tonne Rice Challenge’
With this in mind, Eurodrug Malaysia’s employees are challenging themselves to raise 1-tonne rice (worth approximately RM2,500) for a select NGO partner over the course of 4 months. Through this self-driven initiative, it is Eurodrug Malaysia employees’ hopes to raise in total RM10,000 for all four select NGO partners, namely:
Managing and alleviating cough and respiratory related
illness amongst the underprivileged
The marginalised communities in Malaysia are especially susceptible to coughs and respiratory related illness especially during the monsoon and haze seasons. Working closely with the four NGO partners, we have started to distribute Fluifort syrup to the underprivileged to help treat their coughs as they combat the cold weather, rainy days, and floods. The syrup will be systematically and ethically provided by the NGO partners to those in need.
Going the Extra Mile
Under the One Tonne Rice Challenge, we are also partnering with CARiNG Pharmacies to conduct a ‘donation with purchase’ in-store campaign. For every purchase of Fluifort at CARiNG Pharmacies, Eurodrug will donate RM0.50 to the Challenge and CARiNG Pharmacies will further match it with products and supplements in-kind that the NGOs can use to further help the communities.
All monies and funds collected under the ‘One Tonne Rice
Challenge’ will be donated equally to all four NGO partners.
